BANKS FAILURE IN GHANA: A CASE STUDY ON THE COLLAPSE OF THE UT BANK OF GHANA [FULL PROJECT]
Description: TUniversally, the concept of “Bank failure” is regarded as a special calamity, and circumstances within and outside that permitted the bank to fail (Tussing, 2017). Usually, bank failures are due to unfavorable consequences from stakeholders outside the failed banks themselves. The regulator as a stakeholder plays an important in preventing bank failures. The study assesses bank failures in Ghana. A case study on the collapse of the UT bank. The study consists of five chapters.
The study recommends that the Bank of Ghana should empower the Ghana Association of Bankers to peer-regulate its registered members to complement the Supervision Department of the Bank of Ghana.
